Salvadori STEAM Program at P.S. 66: Integrating Math, Science, and the Arts

P.S. 66 partners with Salvadori STEAM to provide engaging, hands-on, collaborative, and project-based learning experiences that connect math, science, and the arts. Through the Animal Habitat program, second-grade students explore the intricate relationships between animals and their environments. This after-school program is made possible through a CASA grant generously funded by Council Member Lynn Schulman.

This exciting program takes place in Forest Park, where students explore the incredible variety of wildlife found in New York City, including birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles. It’s a hands-on opportunity for children to connect with nature right in their own neighborhood!
